Soft shackles are an option to use during recoveries when a traditional metal shackle cannot be used to attach to a vehicle, or when a rope is not available to attach to a traditional metal shackle or a hook.One end has a slip loop which should be securely tightened around the opposite knot end to create a closed device. Works best on smooth round surfaces. Do not place around sharp objects. Because of very low elongation of dyneema, extreme care should be taken if it is going to be used in a snatch recovery.
